Polymer clay, acrylic and matte varnish on support, beech wood frame
100 × 100 cm
Unique piece
This work presents a composition of 20 miniature heads, arranged in a structured grid that contrasts with the expressive freedom of each individual element. Each form is hand-modelled in polymer clay, then hand-painted with acrylic paint and finished with a matte varnish, reflecting a process that balances control and spontaneity.
The heads are inscribed within a visual language of greater freedom and poetic density, where abstraction and gesture prevail over the logic of standardisation. Despite the individuality of each piece, the ensemble achieves unity through a close chromatic proximity, in which colour asserts itself as the unifying element of the composition.
The dialogue between structure and freedom allows the work to oscillate between order and intuition, opening space for a more contemplative and open reading. Framed by a beech wood frame, the composition maintains a subtle tension between containment and expansion, where the grid functions not as a limit, but as a field of variation and expression.
