Inner Head Collection Piece #02

€6,800.00

2026
Polymer clay, acrylic, and matte varnish on support, beechwood frame
100 × 80 cm
Unique piece

This work presents a composition of 35 miniature heads, arranged within a structured grid that emphasizes rhythm, repetition, and visual cohesion. Each element is hand-modeled in polymer clay, then carefully hand-painted with acrylic and finished with a matte varnish, reflecting a meticulous and continuous process focused on detail.

The heads adopt a standardized visual language, reinforcing a sense of uniformity, while surface detail and color become the primary vehicles of expression. The composition draws inspiration from Latin American visual traditions, particularly the symbolic richness of Día de los Muertos and the vibrant, hybrid forms of Oaxacan alebrijes. These references emerge through color, pattern, and ornamentation, establishing a dialogue between craft practices, ritual imagery, and contemporary visual language.

Enclosed within a beechwood frame, the work balances structural clarity with ornamental density, where repetition operates as both a formal and evocative device.
